Personality (from younger to older):

As a younger crocodile, Tybalt was a very aggressive, small croco. He wasn't very good at dealing with any sort of emotions so he would mostly act out in anger.
Overall, Tybalt was a bit of a rude boy. He was young and pretty reckless.

The young croc was a tough guy to handle, as he was very set in his thinking, that his way was the right way, even though others were more experienced than him.

Eventually as he grew older, Tybalt became more open-minded. He actually learned how to use his brain, and would become known for his quick wit and unusual way of executing plans/raids.

Background:

Before becoming a pirate Tybalt was a common thief. He was a skilled pickpocket, and he had a large friend who would help him loot houses. He would travel often so as not to get caught, but eventually grew tired of being a simple thief. The life of a pirate seemed fitting to him, what with the looting bit, so he joined Emery's crew.

Soon he actually learned he loved life on the sea, the sense of freedom it gave (even though he was under command by someone else). Eventually the crocodile began to crave his own crew and ship, but with how he managed things within Emery's crew and unwillingness to cooperate, he had a long way to go.

Though he was part of Emery's crew, Tybalt and the captain would butt heads very often. Tybalt was given many chances to prove himself, as Emery decidedly took the young crocodile in, hoping to help him grow. However, once Tybalt found a new treasure (a grem named Arlo), things went downward. Tybalt soon found himself with a crush on the grem, but he didn't know how to deal with it so he was constantly mean to him.
Eventually Tybalt ran out of chances, and Emery tossed him overboard when they were out at sea. They weren't too far from port, but the winds were strong and waves unforgiving. Tybalt got tossed around in the sea before he was finally washed ashore.

This led Tybalt to a hard life in a place he didn't know, and he was forced to grow up in a more harsh world than Emery had offered him. The crocodile learned life the hard way, but it turned him into a better reptile. After a series of events (still working on it) he manages to get his own, small crew together, and makes a pretty decent captain of them all. Tybalt really does grow up in the end, and though he can still be a little reckless when he gets aggressive he definitely has more respect for others and (dare I say) compassion for him crew members.
